Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has dismissed viral claims that he and his wife, Simi, welcomed twins, clarifying that the couple only had a baby boy.
According to Kemi Filani, the singer addressed the rumour in a recent video that surfaced online and quickly gained attention across social media platforms within the last few hours.

The report came after speculation spread online earlier this year, with several blogs and fan pages alleging that the celebrity couple secretly welcomed twins abroad.
Speaking in the viral clip, Adekunle Gold openly corrected the reports.
“My wife and I didn’t welcome twins, we had a baby boy,” he said.
The clarification immediately sparked reactions online, with fans debating why celebrity pregnancies and childbirth rumours often gain traction so quickly on social media.
Meanwhile, many supporters congratulated the singer and his family, while others questioned how the twin story became widespread without confirmation from the couple.
According to reactions seen on X, Instagram and Facebook, the story remained one of the most discussed entertainment topics online as fans continued sharing clips and screenshots from the interview.
Adekunle Gold and Simi, who got married in 2019, are known for keeping much of their family life private despite their celebrity status. The couple welcomed their first child, Deja, in 2020.
As at the time of filing this report, neither Simi nor Adekunle Gold had released additional details about the newborn publicly.
