Music executive Don Jazzy has stirred conversations online after naming Johnny Drille as the “best and most complete musician” in Nigeria. According to reports making rounds within the last few hours, the Mavin Records boss made the statement during a recent podcast appearance.
Speaking during the interview, Don Jazzy praised Johnny Drille’s songwriting, production skills and live performance ability, insisting that the singer stands in “a world of his own” compared to others in the Nigerian music industry.
“If you look at the Nigerian music industry right now, there is nobody like Johnny Drille. He is in a world of his own,” Don Jazzy said.
“He mix, write, sing. He does everything.”
According to the viral report published by Legit.ng, the music producer also noted that Johnny Drille sounds the same during live performances as he does in studio recordings, describing that consistency as rare in the Afrobeats scene.
