Sharing Is Caring:

Popular Nigerian socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest has sparked reactions online after releasing a studio clip shortly after losing the APC House of Representatives primary election in Imo State. According to reports making rounds within the last few hours, the celebrity barman appeared to address critics through music.

The socialite, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, recently contested for the APC ticket for Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency but lost during the party primaries. The development quickly became one of the top viral celebrity stories dominating Nigerian social media conversations.

According to Kemi Filani, Cubana Chief Priest posted a video from a music studio on Instagram, appearing unbothered by the political setback. In the clip, he reportedly sent a subtle message to those mocking him online after the election result.

“Make una leave me make I sing,” he reportedly said in the viral clip.

Meanwhile, reactions have continued pouring in across X, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, with many Nigerians debating whether the nightlife entrepreneur should focus on entertainment or continue his political ambition.

Earlier, reports from APC primaries showed that Cubana Chief Priest failed to secure enough support to clinch the party ticket.

In reaction to the loss, some supporters encouraged him not to give up on politics, while others mocked his short-lived political ambition. A political aide, Ossai Ovie Success, also condemned people ridiculing him online, saying there was nothing wrong with trying and failing.

The story has continued trending across Naija entertainment news blogs partly because of Cubana Chief Priest’s close ties with Afrobeats star Davido and his strong social media presence.
