The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the full results of the 2026 FCT election, showing the All Progressives Congress (APC) bagged five of the six chairmanship seats across the Federal Capital Territory, with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winning Gwagwalada.
APC’s Umar Abdullahi Abubakar (Abaji), Daniel Nuhu (Kwali), Christopher Maikalangu (AMAC), Joshua Ishaku (Bwari), and Danjuma Samuel (Kuje) were declared winners, while Mohammed Kasim (PDP) clinched Gwagwalada with 22,165 votes.
The election results reflect party strengths and local dynamics in Abuja’s area councils.
