Lagos State Government has officially referred the controversy around singer Simi’s resurfaced old tweets to the Commissioner of Police for preliminary investigation over alleged child protection concerns linked to her mum’s daycare.

DSVA boss Lola Vivour-Adeniyi said the matter needed deeper scrutiny and urged anyone with credible information to come forward. Simi insists the posts were innocent reflections of youth and not from “perversion,” but the social media firestorm keeps burning.
