Troops from the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade, engaged in Operation Golden Peace and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), effectively foiled a robbery, rescued three hostages, and seized weapons in Taraba State, as revealed in a recent statement by Captain Oni Olubodunde. During a patrol on the Takum-Katsina Ala road, soldiers interrupted a robbery near Kasuwa Shenu in Takum Town. They apprehended Emmanuel Thomas Oryiman, armed with a locally made pistol and 9mm ammunition. In another event on December 13, troops saved three kidnapped individuals in Manzala village. Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa applauded their dedication and urged public cooperation through reliable intelligence.

  1. Collaboration between locals and military personnel may not be possible, owing to the fact in military operations there’s always rules of engagement whereas the locals may see that as impediment towards their efforts to secure their areas.
