Sharing Is Caring:

The Nigerian Customs Service in Ogun Area 1 Command has achieved a notable success in combatting smuggling, seizing illegal goods valued at N229,112,424 million over a week. Under the leadership of Area Comptroller Mr Ahmadu Shuaibu, this effort involved strategic surveillance and collaboration with patriotic citizens to safeguard the nation’s interests. Source

Seized items include parboiled rice, hemp, and imported footwear alongside used clothing and tyres, highlighting ongoing security challenges. Shuaibu emphasised continued vigilance and collaboration with other security agencies to dismantle smuggling networks. These efforts aim to protect the economy and enhance public safety. Can community involvement further bolster these anti-smuggling strategies?
