Kebbi State Police have successfully rescued 36 kidnapped victims along the Mairairai/Bena road in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area. According to Nafiu Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer, the incident occurred on December 8, 2024, when gunmen abducted the victims returning from farms. A team consisting of police, army, and vigilantes responded promptly, engaging the bandits in a gunfight. The operatives overpowered the attackers, who fled into the forest with injuries. All victims were rescued unharmed and reunited with their families. State Police Commissioner Bello Sani praised the team’s bravery and urged enhanced cooperation among security agencies.
